Tampon? GIRLS ONLY!?

ok so i want to use a tampon b.c i dont like pads they move aorund too much. but anyways i cant put one in cuz first i tried one that you push up with your finger. and i couldent get it in b/c it hurt to put it in and i have tried serveral attempts to put it in. so then i tried the kind with the applicator it seemed a little but easier but i still had trouble puttin it in b/c it hurt to put it in. and i dont think the hole or somethin is big enough b/c it hurts to put it in and it barely goes in. and i dont no if am doin it wrong or something but it wont go in &+ it hurts to put it in. is there something wrong? or am i not doing it rite? please tell me please help thank you.
