Why would someone do a commercial that is full of still pictures of aborted babies?

I recently saw the commercial for Missy Smith, who is a Tea Party candidate for Congress. The commercial was full of pictures of aborted babies with her voice in the background talking about her abortion that she's had and how it made her feel. But why would she use those pictures as a way to get peoples attention? If nothing else, she managed to shock and disturb people who have lost their children as sillborns, like myself.
