I'm looking to sell womens clothing and hand made cards on ebay...?

... the cards will be hand-made by myself as I do this as a hobby and have decided I should start selling my work. But I would also like to sell womens clothing but can't find any good wholesalers for womens fashion... and the only one I have found costs a fortune for the products to be shipped to me. Do I need to have my own business to buy from wholesalers? How does it work? Does anyone know of any and do you think I should just start with my cards to see how it goes first? I have never done anything like this before so i am a real selling virgin!! Please help :)
